The Lincoln Academy of Learning and Teaching works with several collaboration networks across the University who champion and develop teaching and learning at the University of Lincoln. Below is an overview of some of the key collaboration networks:
School Directors of Teaching & Learning
School Directors of Teaching & Learning are integral to the strategic direction of taught programmes, curriculum development and the advancement of teaching within Schools – harnessing and sharing practice and pedagogical approaches both within the University and the sector. They work with the Head of School, College Director of Education and School Management Team to champion and enhance teaching and learning on all programmes within the School and playing a key role in implementing teaching and learning initiatives in line with School, College and University strategy and TEF ambitions.
Programme Leaders
Programme Leaders are an important part of the University of Lincoln Academic workforce, contributing to our commitment to excellent teaching and ensuring a high-quality student experience and the facilitation of a stimulating and meaningful learning environment. Programme Leaders shape, develop and manage programme curriculum through engaging with a range of programme stakeholders – including students, academic colleagues and professional support services in order to respond to student needs and the rapidly changing HE landscape.
Senior Tutors
Senior Tutors are responsible, under the guidance of Heads of School, for the co-ordination and enhancement of personal tutor support to taught students. They provide co-ordination and first-line support for Personal Tutors.
Personal Tutors
Personal Tutors support students to fulfil their academic potential throughout their studies, encouraging them to become embedded in the learning and teaching community at Lincoln and plan for their future beyond university. They are a consistent point of contact from enrolment to graduation, complementing and underpinning teaching and learning activity within modules.
Student Engagement Leads
Student Engagement Leads support and steer student engagement activities within their school or department. They are a conduit between students, staff, and the Students’ Union, supporting the partnership between staff and students as members of the academic community. Student Engagement Leads engage with cross-discipline collaboration and represent their school sharing knowledge and best practice across the university and beyond.
Digital Leads
The purpose of the Digital Lead role is to support, inform and contribute to digital education activities undertaken within their schools and in support of the Digital Education Transformation Programme (DETP). The role is central to the adoption of digital education at Lincoln. Digital Leads can work collaboratively across their college and the University, representing their school and helping ensure the DETP reflects their schools’ needs. Digital Leads can then work to support the embedding of the programme’s activities back within their department.
