About LALT

The Lincoln Academy of Learning and Teaching (LALT) consists of all academics and support staff who teach. LALT is a collective where colleagues are encouraged to innovate, collaborate and participate in themes and projects that actively support teaching practice.

The University of Lincoln is renowned for innovation in teaching and learning with Student as Producer as the underlining principle. The Teaching Excellence Framework, for which the University was awarded Gold in 2017, highlighted the impact of our approach to pedagogical practice.

A member of the academic community is regularly elected by his or her academic peers to be Dean of LALT, providing leadership and strategic direction. The LALT Academy Board also meets regularly to oversee activities and to provide strategic input.
